Had message from super8overdrive that I wanted to respond to:
My 48 Custom has a Red Top battery from Aug. 2009! It says “ Sc 6A CA 1000. CCA 800 RC 100”
I am assuming that if I can find the same Red Top replacement, I will be able to use the same copper cables and the same batter cut off switch. Is this the same battery you mention in your text for the 356 engine?
