After getting the tires straight, How do I ensure that I get the steering wheel on the correct spline alignment? Are there any alignment marks on the 51 200 deluxe? Seems Im a little off from center each time. It never has been centered since I owned it.

Where does the wire going down the steering column go? I'm trying to determine how to stop my horn from blowing when turning the steering wheel sometimes. What could cause this? How do I investigate? Any help appreciated

Jason75 ...Excuse my ignorance but Did your indicator bulb in the instrument panel blink when the Turn signal lights blinked. Or did the indicator light just come on solid? I'm not familiar with what it should do. I have a 51 packard 200 deluxe and need correct 12v flasher number. I converted from 6v positive ground to 12v negative ground.

Thanks guys for all the help. I'll check all grounds and clean blinker switch. Also, will try to find 56 packard flasher.

6 to 12 volt conversion

I have a 51 packard 200 deluxe. I was wondering if someone had done the 6 positive to 12 volt negative ground conversion and had to do anything special with "directional switch" or blinker switch circuit other than changing from 6 to 12 volt flasher? I have successfully completed the conversion for everything else( all lights ). Everything works great other than blinkers.
