Don, Thanks for the reply. The pictures you show have the mounting for the handles on the inside of the door. My handles have the mounting screws on the outside. Do you have any like the attached picture?

Wanted 1949 series 2301 outside door handles. Oil bath air cleaner for a 288.

Thank you for looking through your parts. I hope someone out there does have the correct 1949 for the 288 so I can get some pics and measurements.
As for the door handles, NOS is always nice but good daily drivers would be great. Mine are very pitted so I am trying to get nicer ones and the drivers door is broken next to the screw. That seams to be fairly common from the pictures of other cars I have looked at.

Thanks for the reply. I am looking for the whole assembly. The one I have looks to be off a newer 200 without the support bracket on the side. It is in poor shape and is leaking. I would like to put it back to stock.

That is for the heat tube to go into the by-metal choke. As the by-metal is heated the the coil tightens which opens the choke. when the manifold cools the coil relaxes and closes the choke. Mine is also missing on my 49. Has anyone out there made one?
