thanks for your email. i just not long got off the phone from sam. he was a pleasure to talk to and seems like he is a wealth of knowledge. also seems that he does know his stuff. i also rang another guy who lives in northern nsw. who is also a wealth of knowledge. not sure if you know him but his name is doug. i'm going to try to get (i think it was) the 17th of august off work to go to kyogle for the car club event. and thanks again for your email. i have also been in contact with R Neal a little bit lately. again thanks.

does anyone have any photo's of any martin and king ambulances or hearses if they built them. i'm also wondering does anyone know if they put a builders plate anywhere on the cars. if so where would a good place be to start looking? as well does anyone know much about Ira L & AC Berk (packard) LTD. they were in sydney. i think they still operate but now it is a panel shop (i think). also did they build ambulances and hearses does anyone know. thanks.

sorry guy's. i'm still a bit of a dumb ass at this computer thing. i'm not sure how to combine these posts i've put up. so here we go again. i ended up buying the '48' packard australian bodied ambulance. here's a pic. if any one knows who the body builder is please let me know. or if you have any comments. as far as i know the previous owner thinks that the body was made in melbourne and that the ambulance served it's time in the blue mountains in new south wales. thanks. also ignore the orange on the bonnet.

i'm still trying to decide weather or not to buy it. when i showed photos to the other half what it looked like think she thought i was crazy. but i did't think it was that bad. still needs a lot of work though. as for photo's i'll put some up when i have worked out weather or not to buy it. but if i do get it i will most likely join a club. thanks for your replies and your information is important to my decision. if anybody else has more information please reply.

hi, i'm looking at buying an Australian 1948 packard ambulance. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if packards that came to australia were imported as left hand drives and converted or were built as right hand drives and exported to australia. maybe even assembled in australia? as this ambulance i'm looking at buying was used in australia and is right hand drive. i was wondering if anyone may have a photo of an australian packard ambulance?
