The one in your link looks like it is for 12 volts (neg. gnd) only. That could be one reason.

Check here for a location near you:

Looks like your shop is the closest one to me.

What is the approximate price?

That tank could be Renu'd. They would media blast it inside and out, repair any dents or holes and seal it with a baked on coating both inside and out that is guaranteed for life.

Speaking of which, I dropped my tank of this morning to have that done. Should get it back in about 10 days.

The process and where I took my tank:

I haven't dug into mine yet, but I'm almost assuming I might need a new tank. We'll see.

My guess is if you can get it starting and running, you can easily get 4 or 5 times what you paid as it is if you don't want to be bothered with restoring it. If you want to restore it, I'm sure you could get a small fortune for it, after putting a large fortune into getting it that way.

Thanks for the info on the springs. I got a set on ebay for $20. I'll keep watching to see the continuing felt saga.

...Felt Insulator Pads.

Does anyone know where to find Hood Hinge Springs for a 53 Clipper Deluxe? Cross-over from other brands?

Also, I need the Felt Insulator Pads that go between the hinge and the hood. Can I make these. Can I buy them?

If safety is related buy the best you can afford.

Injury or death is not worth a few dollars saved.

Is the $15.00 dollar 2 ton jack below really a good deal while you have your 4500 lb. Packard up on the stands for some work?

Unfortunately, you can find that same, exact, $15 combo in your local hardware store for $135 with an American name on the top of the box. It still says "Made in China" on the bottom of the box though. You can't judge quality by price alone. Companies are more than happy to try to get the most money for the cheapest junk these days.
