I know that photo I posted above (fenders off) is for a single heater system and that is the way I had it connected while the HCV was being rebuilt. But hooking back up the under seat heater I think I had it this way in earlier years: hose from the center of the head to the HCV inlet; hose coming out the HCV goes to one side of the under-seat heater and coming out of the under-seat heater to the bottom of the heater box. From the bottom of the heater box, going out at the top of the heater box to the water pump, water pump taking water back to the center of the head. I would still like to see your photos to see what is different. Send by private message if that is better. Thanks, David

Howard, thanks for the reply. Getting back to you the supply hose.jpg does not appear with your message--although it did show that there was a jpg when I printed out your message. Can you send me the supply hose.jpg again. Thx

**I do have the 51-54 service manual, but as stated it does not show the heater hose arrangement. I don't follow what you wrote about "his site."

**In setting these hoses up as per original, it all starts with that photo of the heater control valve "in" and "out" locations. The two hoses coming up from the under seat heater has to comply with that "in" and "out" situation. I think possibly that the smallest hose in my hose photo is pulled completely off; then the "out" opening from the HCV attaches to the "out" hose under-seat and the "in" under seat attaches to the bottom of the heater box. The 2 long hoses in my photo stay where they are now.

**all of this restated: the small "out" hose on the HCV is removed/discarded; then the matching hose from under seat goes to that "out" side. The other remaining under seat hose goes to the bottom left side of the heater box. I think this follows all of the in/out fluid flow. Again the 2 longer hoses in my photo stay in place.

Thank you for these heater hose routing photos. In my first email to the forum I forgot to attach a photo that I use to help me place these hoses and I miscounted on the number of hoses. Starting over, there are the three hoses in the attached photo "plus" the two hoses coming from the under seat heater. Using the 2nd photo that you sent I cannot see both hoses to and from the heater control valve.
Years ago when I unhooked these hoses to remove the engine for rebuild I totally forgot to take many photos.

I am writing the forum to see if anyone out there would send me a photo of the heater hose arrangement for my 54/300. Four hoses total: Two hoses come up from the under-seat heater on the passenger side, and then there are the two hoses on top of the engine now. The four hoses attach 2 to the heater control valve and 2 to the heater box. A photo of this arrangement would be greatly appreciated. Thx to all.

At some point when the original owners bought the car they added Frigikar after-market A/C. Parts of the A/C have been restored and it is ready for leak testing. The compressor is a Tecumseh original. Will post additional a/c photos this week.

I am selling my 1954 Cavalier after loving it for 37 years. It has PS,PB, A/C, rebuilt engine, new brake booster, and new gas tank (Kanter). $7500 buys my daily driver Packard, boxes of extra parts, shop tools, receipts folder. I will have a photo ad in the Cormorant beginning February; if anyone would like to know more about my Packard please email me @: davidchilds2009@gmail.com. I can send photos, plus I have a photo DVD.

Thanks for the wiring tip. I made a slight color adjustment so that all three switches are attached to their wiring posts. Windows working fine. However one new problem made itself evident: the right-rear door has a leaking hose somewhere inside the door (photos). How it could be leaking after several years is a mystery, but the door panel has to come off for further investigation. I found on Amazon an amazing array of door panel tools.

54/300--window switich wiring

Good afternoon gentlemen in the forum. I need your help and suggestions regarding window switches, what wire goes to what. I recently had the master door switch restored by Alan Kress in PA, got it back and then sent him the LR-RR-RF switches to be rebuild as well; came back beautifully restored, cleaned polished, etc. Good to go. After turning the battery power off to do the switch installation of the LR-RR-RF switches I used the notes I made to myself months ago when the last door panel came off to begin re-upholstery. After attaching the green, red and yellow wires to the switches using this map attached, I turned the battery power back on and the hydro-electric pump started turning. At this point I began to question if I made a correct map of green-to-Motor; red-to-Battery and yellow-to-cylinder. If the map is correct then I have another issue instead of the three restored switches. Any ideas out there?? Thanks to all.

Hello: there was no damage to the (3) shipping cartons. The tank come in an inner carton of thinner cardboard, and two outside cartons of thicker cardboard. I took photos of all of this prior to moving the carton to the garage to open.
