So I'm wanting to replace/rebuild what I think is the outer thrust bearings and steering knuckle king pin.
I'm wondering A if any special tools are needed and B how to remove them. I jacked up the car to install new brake pads and noted the right front hub is loose/has play. I checked if all bolts tight good to go. Left side has zero play when moving side to side. It looks as if mine have never been replaced and if I'm honest I don't see how to disassemble it. Please help. God Bless Attach file: (48.50 KB)

Replacing bushings question 41 120

So I have replaced just about all the bushings except the inner lower arm bushings ( the inner bushings on the arm that the spring rests on) my questions is with the car on jack stands can I just unbolt the inner two bolts of the arm?
Say a jack under the arm for tension and replace the bushings. Or does the whole arm need to come out along with the spring? From the looks of it it seems possible to do without removing the arm and spring.

Ok so I'm in the garage looking at the new tiered ends 2 right hand thread and 2 left. Between the two different tierod end they look a little different. Does it matter which is on the inside and which is outside?

So I'm installing balljoints on my 1941 120 Packard my question is do the new one need pressed in? The old came out with a joint remover tool and wd40. Or do I install and just tighten the balljoint bolt?
God Bless

Pulled the front drums off sure enough both the shoes appear to be shifting excessivly shinny area on the metal backing gave it away. After looking the brakes over well I noted the center peg that holds the springs had shifted to the high side causing the shoes to expand way to high. turns out the nut on back backed off the lock washer just enough to cause it to turn. Tightened her down adjusted the brakes went on several test drives problem solved.
Thank you all for helping with advice... God bless

Guys I need a little help,
I have a 1941 Packard 120 I drive just about every day great fun. I was going through my normal fluid/suspension bolt/leak check and noted a small leak at the brake pressure switch so I replaced the switch and bled the brakes. After which I noted on the test drive you can depress the peddle only to feel resistance (as normal) but a slight pop in the peddle then it goes down another 10%. check all suspension seems tight appear to be coming from the driverside left lower area which is either a master cylinder or the drum brake on that side. The car doesn't pull to either side when this happens just a slight pop then peddle travels 10% further I'm thinking it's a master cylinder but wanted opinions? 4 wheel drum stock brakes checked peddle linkage through the movement ok... check suspension ok bleed brakes 3 different times thinking air got into the lines peddle feels firm car stops well thanks for replies.
