What type manuals? Owners, service, repair, accessories. When you say Six--do you mean only for six cylinder engine equipped cars?
Thanks

David, 4.14017 is the group number for parking light socket and cable assembly. The group number for tail light cable and socket assembly is 4.1611.
A photo of what you need would help.

According to the Carter WDO 512 parts list the fast idle cam spring is part # 61-229.

This spring was used on various Carter carbs. I do have some individual misc. carb parts but not
the fast idle spring.

I do have a used carb with the spring.

Good luck with your search.

I wrote that article almost 20 years ago. The intent was to inform our members regarding brake shoe and return spring differences. There was an update regarding spring colors.
For the most part the primary springs available as replacements were red/orange and sometimes maroon depending on supplier. (Packard #303837). The secondary replacement
springs are yellow or grey depending on supplier. Packard#303836. I have concluded that these return springs fit years and models with 12 inch brakes. The point is
the shoes and springs must be installed correctly for proper brake performance.

Does the car have a manual transmission or automatic? If manual does it have overdrive? If so the makeshift homemade arrangement could be controlling the overdrive.
Just my guess.
