Gorgeous hub caps.....I have the same style but for a 53 clipper. I was wondering if anyone would have the rims that would go with dog dish hubcaps. The rims have no clips but the rim is molded with 3 lips on it where the hubcap snaps into place.

Any ideas on where one could find rims like that either packard originals or another make or model that would fits the hubcaps??

Adjusting a 53 Packard Carburator

Hello guys.....
Is there a simple way to adjust a carburator after its been rebuilt? Im going crazy with it. It was rebuilt due to the fact that at acceleration it was very sluggish. Right after it was rebuilt, it worked great and the car was great at acceleration. But now it seems that it dies at a stop light or it idles really high. Anyone know what it might be??

I finally have it lookin great on the outside and the engine is now giving me issues. It used to run so smooth and very quiet...just a thing of beauty. It is the original engine and carburator. Any ideas???

Elias

PS What do you guys think of the cross bar hubcaps? I have the original dog bowls but I cant find the rims for them. I bought some packard rims but they had clips instead of the three lips it needs for the dog dish hubcaps i have.
Comments are very welcome....always wanting fresh ideas for this car.
Thanks guys.

Good to know. It's a 3in white wall and it's 4 ply. So hopefully they give the same service.

Thanks

Thank you. I agree with you. These tires are definitely priced right. That is why I'm very attracted to them. And the white wall width looks perfect.

Thanks for the info.

Great looking car! Great Job!!

Can I ask; what size are your tires? Especially the width of the white wall?? I cant decide on the size of the tire I want and the size of the white wall I want. Yours looks the perfect size.

Thanks
Elias

Oh and thanks Ozstatman for the size on the 56, good info.

Is there a place on the forum to post pics of the car inside and outside of the car so people can give me suggestions on making the car just pop???

Thanks

Thanks Gator and Kev

Yea my uncle put his 46 Buick wheels on the car once for a wedding......they looked gorgeous but way too obvious that they didnt belong...

Thanks for the info....though

My Friend is looking for the rims in hopes he finds them. I still have the original spare tire and hopefully the others will turn up.

Hello
Im new to this forum. Im really enjoying this site. anyway, when i bought my Clipper, it came with baby moons for wheels. He gave me the original rims and my being new to oldies, I gave the rims to my neighbor for his ranch trailers and stuff like that. So now i want to get some rims for my clipper and im not sure if the rims were original packard rims or if i can just buy whichever rims that are the right size and paint them the same color as the car. I had the hub caps refinished and they look beautiful and now i wanna get the rims and new white walls for it
Does anyone know a good place to find some nice white walls and rims to got with them??

Thank you
Elias

PS I have a 1953 Packard Clipper.
