" Ultramatic " emblem

I saw an advertisement for an " Ultramatic " emblem to go on the body of a post-war Packard. I have a 1952 Packard 300 4-door sedan ( with, of course, Ultramatic ) and would be interested if I knew where to install it. I can't find a picture that shows such an emblem on that model. Can anyone enlighten me?

I'm interested! Please let me know what it would cost and how I can obtain it.

I have found one of the two missing " 300 " emblems for my 1952 Packard on E-Bay. Does anyone know where I might find an additional one for the other side of the sedan?

Missing ( or non-existent ) Emblem

On both sides of the roof of my " new " 1952 Packard 300, between the back side window and the wraparound rear window are two holes. Obviously, some kind of emblem was there at some time. However, I have looked at probably 100 pictures of the 300 and I don't see anything in that position. Does anyone have an answer to this riddle?

Low Gear

I have a '52 packard 300 sedan. I have been told that I should use " low gear " to begin my acceleration, particularly when starting on an uphill grade. Is there any merit to that suggestion?

Trunk Lock

Concerning '52 packard 4-door sedan trunk lock-

Is there supposed to be a striker or rod at the end of the cylinder. The cylinder appears to open the trunk o.k. but it slides right out with the key in it. How do you secure it so that it stays in the trunk lid when you extract the key?

Neither the clock nor the radio on my " new " '52 Packard 300 function. Are they generally reparable by local auto radio repair folks or do I need to hunt for replacements?

That response was very helpful. I have printed it off and will take it with me to a mechanic that has been recommended to me. Not being too mechanically sophisticated, this is exactly what I need and I appreciate it. Which brings me to the problem with this car that plagues me the most.

After driving for a while and heating up that big straight 8 engine, I have had difficulty re-starting the engine after shutting it off. It seems like the the heat from the engine interferes with the starter, which is right next to the engine and, only if I wait a while until the engine cools down will it start up again. Someone told me they heard of folks putting some kind of heat baffle between the engine and the starter. Any solution to this problem? The car ordinarily starts up nicely, in spite of the 6 volt battery and runs nicely but it's no fun to get stuck somewhere, reading a book until the engine cools down.

Yes- It is definitely an electric fuel pump. Am I stuck with this noise unless I change it out?
