This is an old post, but for what it's worth, the car was sold summer of 2021.

If it won't move, get a bigger wrench.
If it breaks, it needed fixing anyway.

This is a bump as I noticed that I could find my car listing in the forum. Thank you.

Hello All. Have not posted for a while. Life got busy.
This is a bump. My car is still available for sale. The links in the above post do not work anymore. If you are interested, pm me here. I would be happy to send you pictures and a list of what has been done to the car while in my possession. I am asking $13,900.00 Canadian.

Thank you!

Gentlemen and Ladies. My '49 is back on the market. I've decided that it's time to move on. It can be seen here:

http://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details.html?requestSource=b&adId=1126845330&siteLocale=en_CA

and here:

http://www.autotrader.ca/a/Packard/Deluxe/HAMILTON/Ontario/19_9146365_/?showcpo=ShowCPO&orup=1_15_1

The wording and pictures are the same in both ads. Mal, when it does sell, I will update the registry.

Thanks to all in advance who take and interest.

Dave, I am about 4 hours east of Windsor in Hamilton. Ernie, car is running well. Fan shroud has helped immensely. Going for a a slight improvement on that and capping the cross member to the top of the rad to ensure that all the air the fan moves goes through the rad. Also going to go to manifold vacuum source for the timing and then adjust everything to set it right. Thanks for the complements on the car. Merry Christmas to you both, and everyone else on the forum.

Just got back from delivering some Christmas goodies to friends. Weather was so nice (15C = 59F) I took my '49 to play Santa in style.

Another thing to check would be to make sure if a wheel cylinder isn't either stuck or leaking or if a hose has collapsed.
