Facts and questions for the PI Board to consider
1. Three Regions gone in last two years.
2. More Registrations or less Registrations from past years at PI Annual Meet for 2014?
3. What are the membership numbers for 2014 up or down?
4. Is the Club website current and publications on time?
An objective look would seem to indicate a change might be needed.
How about free elections to start with?
What about 6 or 7 non Board members being appointed to put together a 5 year plan for the club with the report open for discussion by the membership?

I admit that to me all the hard work of Fred and Carol over the years is being seriously eroded.

Hugh Ferry who made the decision to purchase bodies rather than manufacture them. This decision came back to cause numerous problems both financially and quality related. There were other poor financial decisions but I feel this was the most serious. The dollars saved from these decisions may have allowed for time to recover from styling and other issues.

I regret that as a member you did not receive a ballot. At the club meeting last night the actual count was 33 to zero to join PAC. Please note the following
1. Proposed change was discussed at several meetings.
2. More than one email was sent out by club president regarding the ballot.
3. Ballots were returned to an independent accounting firm for counting and 30 days were allowed for ballot return.
In conclusion every effort was made to allow input from every member. Again I am sorry you did not receive a ballot but so far as I know you are the only member to have experienced this difficulty.

PS Wanted to make sure you were aware of the pumpkin tour coming up.
Would enjoy having you on tour let Matt our club president know if you did not receive information.

The former Packards International Oregon Region has voted 32 to 0 to ask to join PAC and form a new region. A Car Club not a lifestyle!

How about elected Officers instead of inbred appointments?

I am also a member of the now independent Packards of Oregon. I was very vocal in having our club leave PI and it had nothing to do with PAC. Here are a few FACTS. PI spent $5,250 by the PI Board's own admission to fund part of the expense of sending a private persons car to Europe, with no discussion with the larger membership. The PI Board allowed the News Counselor to lapse with no discussion with the membership and in fact continued for many months to list the newsletter as a benefit. PI sold club Projects with no discussion with the membership. Fact I have yet to see a Balance sheet that would show the real finances of PI just an operating statement. These issues have only to do with how the President and Board are operating PI. I simply disagree with the above and voted with the overwhelming majority of our members to leave PI
