Any of you guys out there know if the plastic insert in a '49' Egyptian hood ornament can be removed to renew the gold in the middle? I'm finding them for sale at swap meets and on line, but they all seem to have the gold in the medallion missing.
I've got a cormorant and a "Boy With a Donut ", but would like to have all three.

Does anybody here know if the A pillar (door hinge side, including the dogleg down to the rocker panel) is the same on 53-54 Clippers and 55-56 Patricians as it is on the 55 Clipper? I've got a 55 Super Panama that I'm working on, engine, tranny and rear end done, but I'm stuck trying to build the curved part lower front part of the driver's door frame. I can't seem to find a 55-56 clipper for a parts car, and I need the (poorly!) described piece, as well as the under floor supports on the driver's side. Thanks in advance!
