Had to change out my made in China starter switch on my 30 120. Napa has an Echlin STB2 for $11.49 that fits nicely. Made in Mexico with a 3 year warranty. The Packard part number is 333438 - course this is the switch that connects to the top of the coil. This switch assumes a modern coil.

If you are really good with an engraving pencil, you can put an "S" in it and everyone will think you have an original.

Relying on the switch to power the starter solenoid is what causes problems.

I used to upgrade to a 6-volt headlight relay to eliminate the problem.
