Can anyone tell me how to remove the chrome strip that runs up the center of the windshield on my 38 Jr coupe?

I think the way to do it is to remove the interior front window trim that is between the two panes of glass (vertical); the one that the rear view mirror is attached to. There are about three screws holding it on -once you remove them, you should be able to push the chrome strip off. I've not tried to remove the chrome strip, but refinished the interior piece and thats what it looked like to me.
