What's that occasional "popping" sound coming from the clutch area on my '29?

Went for a good 45 minute ride yesterday, gorgeous weather. Still working on getting the clutch adjusted, it's better but not quite at the sweet spot yet.

Regardless, ever since I've gotten the car moving again last August, occasionally (not all the time), there's a "pop" when in first gear and letting out on the clutch. Only happens once in a while, usually when the clutch is about to engage, only in first coming from a dead stop. It's not super loud, you don't feel it in the clutch pedal, but it is definitely noticable. Sounds like a minor backfire if it were coming out of the tailpipe if that helps.

Something out of line down there? Hopefully nothing I have to dig into the clutch assembly for! Put about 30 miles on her yesterday, only did it maybe 3 times with a lot of stops and starts.

Thanks!
