The rubber type extensions on my engine bay inner panels deteriorated. I can see some degraded remnant. These were riveted to the steel panels. Does anyone know how far they extended? Were they all sandwiched between the panel and a metal strip?

The rubber on my inner fenders is gone. I did come across where BigKev replaced the rubber on his ‘37. You might check out his blog here….

Thanks. I found an intact piece this morning. It’s 3 inch tarpaper and folds 90 degrees to sit on the frame rail. Completely brittle by now. I’m thinking rubber sheet will be a better idea , or should I replace in kind?

I’ll be thrilled if mine are near as good looking as big Kev’s came out
