Hi all, I have an Owen Dyneto Generator, Model CE, Serial No 108102 which has a Packard drive end and end plate, but I cannot find it in any Packard listings for Twenties and Thirties Packards. Does anyone have any info on the specs of Amps and Volts for this Generator. I am hoping to fit it to my 533 to enhance the available lighting power. Best Regards Peter Toet.

Peter, the model CE would be correct to fit it to a 1926 1927 Eight (Edition T of the Standard Auto Electrician's manual).

As to the specs. according to Dave (Owen_Dyneto):

"...There are at least three useful sources of sorting out the various generator and regulator systems, (1) the Packard parts manuals, (2) the Standard Auto Electricians Manual, and (3) Chiltons Tune up Manuals. ..."

Thanks Guscha, Your quotation source was spot on for the information that I needed. It would appear then that the CE model would be in the range of 9-11 Amps and is not as good as the one currently fitted to my 533. The generator currently fitted is a much later than original and runs at approx 25 Amps when cool then switches to a lower approx 10 Amp setting when hot. I shall seek to acquire a 36 Packard 30 Amp generator. Thanks again. Peter Toet.
