That original Purolator filter hasn't been available for decades and decades and even if one were located it would be very unadvisable to use it. If you wish to have the correct authentic appearance of the OEM unit you can buy a filter unit from R & A Engineering that looks the same externally as the original Purolater unit but uses a modern spin-on cartridge inside.

Reviewing the topic again I noticed it is titles 1930 model 833. The 1930 Eight would be a 7th series car and 1931 an 8th series. In the case of the oil filter it makes no difference.

I double checked R & A Engineering's site and find they make filters to replace 34-39 Senior cars and do not make any for 30-31

We have a filter that ism identical to the original 30-31 but is about 2" shorter. All you need to do to use it is to move one clamp a bolt or two closer on the water jacket. Call our Packard dept on ext 336. We've sold many
