Fuel Gauge 120

Just a question from a non mechanic
Just got around to trying to fix my fuel gauge/fuel sending unit. I like to take the car for tours and a working fuel gauge is a great thing to have.
Is there a way to increase or adjust the movement of the needle in the gauge?
Got the sending unit out, got it working but when the sending is at the bottom limit (E), the gauge reads a little less than 1/4, when the gauge is at the top limit (F), it read a little above 3/4.
I can deal with this if it is very time consuming, but if its an easy fix, I would like to take care of it
Thanks again for your input

Measure the OHM range on the sender first to see if it's sweeping correctly. If not, it's the sender. Other wise it could be the guage itself.
