Hi - I have an old house in Vancouver and was recently given a photo of the house, but the date of the photo is unknown. However, the photo was supposedly taken to celebrate the purchase of a new car by the then house owner. I've uploaded a photo of it - as good as it gets I'm afraid - no back end and a bit dark and scratched. Can anyone help me with year and type? My uneducated guess after surfing the web is that it is a late 1920's Packard - thus my presence here !!

It looks like it might be a 28-29-30 Buick. The grille on the 29 and 30 was similar to Packard and those large wooden spoke wheels and definitely the hubcaps don't look right for a Packard but do for a Buick. If a Buick likely one made in Oshawa, Ontario by McLaughlin.

The AACA forum has an excellent Buick section, I'm sure they can help you.
