I know this has been debated before, but...

I contacted Bob Bendtsen at Speed Gems Transmission Adapters asking for references of customers who'd bought a TH kit for a straight-8. He said they'd sold several over the years but that it would be very time consuming to go through their billing/record keeping system to figure out who bought what (sounds like my system). Whatever. Has anyone ever used his kit? I really like the looks of it. Thanks.

I don't have any experience with the straight8 Packard kits, but Bob's shop is about a mile from mine in Ham Lake, MN. He's actually the person who rescued my car. You won't find a more qualified, or knowledgeable machinist. Personally I wouldn't think twice about putting any of his parts in one of my cars.
