Gabriel G20H Thermostat Fitment

I came across a new Gabriel G20H thermostat in with all my Packard parts but can find nothing about the application. Can anyone help? I am posting it here since I can see that it is a little larger than the thermostat in my 1956 Clipper, which co-incidentally I just pulled out of the car yesterday.

Also, the thermostat is rated at 180 degrees. Is that typical?

180 degree t-stats are typical, of all 180 degree t-stats.
there are also 153, 160 and 190 (I think).

There are two basic "sizes" of t-stats, the small one in 35-56 all cylinder heat applications except 40-50 356" which uses the larger. These 2 sizes can be used in virtually all 1935- 1980 US cars.

Thank you for the quick response and it made me think to actually measure it. It is 2-1/8" and, being flat on one end, was easy to measure using a tape measure. The old one from the 1956 Clipper looked smaller when held side by side but also measures about 2-1/8" using a micrometer.
