I just restored a side view mirror on my 1914 Ford. The shop that made my glass will also make a rear view mirror glass for my '48 Packard. I cannot see how the mirror is assembled, perhaps the glass is glued in place. Can anyone enlighten me on this? My r/v mirror is not the day/night type but a fixed one. Thanks, Jeff P.

Regardless of how it was done originally, the proper glue can certainly do the job. I glued circular mirror glass into the sidemount mirrors of my 34 many many years ago, still there and never loosened. Wish I could recall what type of glue I used. A good glass shop should have a recommendation.

This stuff will work well: Panel Bond.

BTW, where in the St. Croix Valley do you reside? I grew up in Marine.

Cheers,

Tom
