I know the car asks for 760.15 but L78 (820.15) has been on the car for 25 years. 760.15 is for the cars K rim 5.5". 820.15 asks for 6" rim. I'm going radial and I keep going back and forth between the two sizes. Any suggestions? The front end suspension has been completely rebuilt.

Someone said that the radials are not good for the suspension on this car. I've never heard of anything like that. Have you?

The 7.60 is quite OK. 8.20 was used on hearses and ambulances. In radial sizes a 225-75-15 works well, but a 235 75-15 will also work. Larger tires will only make it steer harder.

I am now several hundred thousand miles into using radials on a variety of cars from the forties into the early sixties. There is no downside.
