Great ideas! Actually the second to the last also looks good but anyone trying to get into and out of the rear seat would probably end up banging their head on the angled quarter window opening.

Glad you like, Don. Agreed that second to last has some design merit.
Noticed something on one-off pre-war Clipper convertible posted on recent CL Pickings thread: the sills seem rather high. Late 40s Mercury had lower sills so tried it on the fastback sedan.

Also some futzing around with the grill to lower the horizontal element and raise the vertical. Problem is, the bumper has no freedom to move inward without lots of stuff connected to it getting mashed up.
