Is there a way to tell a 5 from a 9 main bearing block from a distance without knowing the engine number?

Thanks!

The longitudinal oil passage on the passenger side just above the oil pump will have a plug at each main bearing location. A couple of plugs around the pump or toward the front of the engine may be hidden but you should be able to see enough of the others to determine.
