Oil pressure update

Thanks for all the responses.
This car has a mechanical oil pressure gauge installed by a previous owner. The original gauge is also functioning and parallels the mechanical gauge.
Packard recommends 30 weight oil for normal summer driving. If I was running straight 30 weight oil and no overdrive I suspect that the oil pressure would be 50 lb.
To collect some more data on this I will take it on a little drive later on this week and disengage the overdrive and we'll see if the oil pressure is higher.
