Was there any difference in the body shape between the 22nd and 23rd series cars?
I found a 23rd series Packard to get patch panels off of for my 22nd series car if it will work.
And specifically, looking at the rear end of the car pretty much from the back window to the bumper (sail panels, quarter panels, and areas around the trunk) From what I can tell and reading a little bit of literature, they appear to be the same body just with different trim placement. Is this true? Would I run into any foreseeable problems?

The rear window in the 23d series is larger. Otherwise, there is no difference.
