I've often wanted something like this. Needs to have at least a 12 foot range. Great for watching for leaks, rattles, carb linkage operation and many other diagnostics while driving down the road under real live test conditions. As well as oil pump screen inspections or behind the dash, in the axle and so-forth.
Anyone ever try one or have one???? Comments, advice , warnings, sugestions, etc most welcome.

Whats the chaeapest fair quality available i'm wondering??? Most likely i'll buy one but need to gather info first.

Harbor Freight appears to have the same thingharborfreight.com/wireless-inspection-ca ... 4-inch-color-lcd-monitor-66550.html so if there is a store close you might be able to look at it in person. This one seems to be in HongKong. There are also other similar models which have a different and interchangeable business end--one small enough (8mm, I think) that would go down a spark plug hole. Home Depot carries a model by Rigid called the SeeSnake 2 which I believe is the one with optional head. Don't know if any would have a 12ft range though. That is asking quite a bit. Harbor advertises 4' camera range and a 3' snake. Others are probably comparable.

We purchased the harbor freight unit that HH56 posted. We use it, and it works great. I cannot believe how the technology has become so affordable. Even 5 years ago, this set up would have cost the average do-it-yourself guy $2,500 dollars.
