I've done a search but came up with nothing... I'm making new door panels for my 53 Clipper DeLuxe, but I can't get the door and window handles off. There is no clip behind them like I'm used to on most other old cars.... Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

They should be held on with a pin through the shaft.

As 51Packard said, a pin. You need to push the bezel and panel away from handle against a fairly strong spring to compress them back about 1/2 inch. The pin should be at right angles to the handle ends. About 1/8" dia or maybe a tad less and can be pushed out either side with an appropriate tool.
