Four Merlins running

Last Friday evening I drove down to Nanton, Alberta to watch the official public introduction of all 4 Packard Merlin engines running on the Lancaster bomber at the Bomber Command Museum of Canada. This was a nighttime run which really gave a feeling of what it was like when these aircraft were in service for night raids during WW II. The blue flame from the exhaust can be seen in the attached photo which is not the best quality but gives the idea.
The Nanton Lancaster is now one of 4 in the world that have all 4 Merlin engines running. Two of the aircraft are flying and the other 2 are taxi-able. More information can be found in the attached links: Four Merlins running Bomber Command Museum of Canada

Brian, impressive picture as written on the linked webpage: "This will be your chance to photographically recreate a scene similar to this one of a Lancaster. The end result will be a photo that everyone will comment on... "

Brian,
Very nice. Glad to see another one getting closer to flying.
