One Sunday in downtown Tucson AZ

Please indulge me.

It has been a couple of weeks since I had the Packard out for a drive. The weather is so beautiful (mid 60's) and I'm sick of football, as my team is horrible and Rex Ryan needs to be replaced. So I grabbed the camera, started the Packard and told my bride I'd be back in several hours. I decided to drive towards downtown Tucson and ended up in the beautiful Barrio Historico neighborhood. The streets here are narrow and most buildings are constructed of adobe. This neighborhood area is interesting and many tourists wander the streets on self-paced walking tours.

These are my attempts to bring colors together for some interesting pictures. I think I need to take a community college class however, as this digital camera seems to be smarter than me.

Had mine out yesterday to let my 16 year old granddaughter drive it for the first time, but she got a better offer. Oh well.....

Pix look just fine to me!

Nice photos. Thanks for posting. With about 2" of snow on the ground and already -20c Tucson seems like a nice place to be. My collector car has been put way for the winter about two months ago! I might just come down this winter as I enjoyed my last trip two winters ago.

These photos are like the trifecta for me . . . One of my favorite postwar Packards, in one of my favorite color combinations, in one of my favorite places. My middle son lived in Flagstaff for a while a few years ago, and we got to explore a bit of your beautiful state . . . Phoenix, Sedona, Tucson, and of course the Canyon just above Flagstaff. Great shots of a great car.

The reflections of the white building and contrasting doors on the turquoise paint of your 400 give IMG_4913_1.jpg an artsy quality - like a painting.

The terra cotta color of the building in the background also provides a nice contrast.

Crop out the ass-end of that fugly SUV, and you've got a pic worth framing - at the very least.

Kevin,

You have some good looking images here. I taught Fine Arts photography and digital imaging for twenty years at the college level. Digital isn't any different in theory from film capture. Let me know what I can help with.
