I would like to find the proper trunk lamp for my 1954 Caribian.

Has anybody got a spare they would sell?

There was a picture of a close year in a thread I may be able to share.

I assume this has some kind of switch that turns it on when the lid is up

I'm going through the light sockets and switches on my car right now, so I just looked at the trunk light assembly. There is a little cylinder that sits between the wire and bulb, it has what sounds like a ball inside that makes the contact when the trunk is opened. I didn't check the parts lists but maybe it's the same for a '54.
