Accessory K wheel

Was wondering if anyone has a 21st Clipper Custom with an original accessory K wheel that can confirm the color of the hub or knows what Packard did.

This photo of a Custom shows the hub appearing to be the same brown color as the steering column dash bracket. Another Clipper K wheel photo (can't see column to tell if Custom) shows a hub much lighter -- possibly the same beige as the plastic rim.

It is a metal hub so was painted and wondering if that was an operators choice or different colors for different models. I just received my "new" wheel and to me the dark brown looks awkward next to the chrome column and beige rim but maybe that is just me. It does not appear to be a factory paint job but will leave it that way if correct.
