Fuel evaporation Mythbuster #1??

I put a Carter 2 bbl and a Rochester 4 bbl outside under conditions simulation a parked car with the carbs under a simulated hood. After 15 days 1/2 of the fuel in the fuel bowls had evaporated. I would reasonable expect that after 30 days it would all be gone.

Next experiment is to determine how many revolutions of the motor it takes for the fuel pump to fill the fuel bowl enough to have the accelerator pump operate and how many revs to fill the bowl.

This should determine the necessity of having an electric fuel pump for cars unfrequently driven
