While the guts of the basic gauge is the same for 55-6, the face colors and patterns are different. Unless you just want a second gauge to test a sender or are planning to take the gauges apart to mix and match pieces you might want to specify Packard or Clipper and 55 or 56.

Very true. The gauge will go into a 56 400. I have a fried gauge, and can swap face plates if needed. Thanks
