Can someone tell me what the wheel bolt dimensions are for the 55 Clippers? Do they match GM, Ford or Chrysler bolt patterns?

Thanks
Bill

Packard V8, I just wanted to clarify your abbreviations,

You are saying Ford, chevy or dodge, 1/2 ton wheels from the 1980's will work.

Thanks, I didn't even think about the offset and center hole sizes.

Just to be clear on specifics:

Clippers (Junior): 5x4-1/2in bolt pattern, 5-1/2in width at tire bead.

Seniors: 5x5in bolt pattern, 6in width at tire bead.

Therefore, Junior wheels don't fit Seniors and vice versa. However, it is possible to get dual pattern steel wheels from such vendors as Wheel Vintiques.

IMO, the different bolt pattern is one of more stupid things that Packard did.

Junior Wheels from 54-56 are the same except for '54 Clipper Supers, which use the larger pattern that was used in '53.

I know it's been a couple weeks since anyone added to this post but I had a 91 Chevy half ton pickup that my 51 Patrician wheels fit.......5x5 or 5x127 for metric sizes.
