What's in the background of the second photograph? Are those two more 1955 Caribbeans? Maybe this guy bought up all the ones that the guy in Pennsylvania once had.

I can't remember the former owner's name -- if they are indeed his cars -- but I do remember there being a guy in Pennsylvania with multiple Caribbeans. I even ended up buying a few parts from him in the 1970's.

Pete Grave was maybe the former owner's name? Does that ring a bell with anyone else?

Hard to make those cars out. One is definitely a 55-56 convertible, but there's so little left of the other that it's difficult to say what it was - except that the front bumper assembly, if original to the car, is a 55.

There was a Peter Grave in eastern PA who was PAC's rosterkeeper for Caribbeans when I acquired my 56 Hardtop some 20 years ago. I tried to contact him, twice with SASE, for a roster form, but never heard a thing back and subsequently wrote him off.

I later learned that he had a junkyard, though not billed under his name. If he was the PO, I can understand how these cars came to be in such poor condition and missing so many parts.

Some info on Peter Grave; Covington A Ted Towing, Peter Grave, Rt. 611 & Farm School Rd, Ottsville PA 18942, 610-847-5943. Satellite photo shows a rather large yard, could have Packards in it?!

The car reminds me of a place in NJ.I believe it was called Teckledorf Kennels in Washington Twp. Drove down the road with my friend who was leaving his dog there. Came down to a clearing and there was about a dozen 55-56 Packard's. Three were Caribbeans. The rest were 400's,Executives and one or two Clippers. They were all in pretty sad shape except for one green 55 Clipper. It was in pretty good shape.
