Thanks guys! I'm familiar with Kev's Evapo-Rust article. It's pretty great stuff. Personally I use electrolytic rust removal for delicate parts that I don't want to sandblast.

Really, the point of this thread was to find out if anyone's had to rebuild the floor braces because of rust, and to find out the process that they used.

I've cut out the end of the brace that was rusted and I'm in the process of repairing it with some 16 gauge sheet metal.

I could really use a shrinker/stretcher, but I'm afraid that I've spent the Packard Budget for this quarter.

I'll try and post some pics of the repair when I'm ready to weld it back in the car.
