Jw4's right, of course. But since it's someone else's car, wanted to veer toward safety in case his filter too close to the manifold and there a perfect storm of contingencies. If you use the ceramic insert, these can be soaked in gas, or better still, acetone, blown out with air hose, and away you go. The pictured Wix pleated cartridge available at any NAPA for a song.
