The windlace on the rear quarter panel on a 55 Constellation I am considering buying goes up all the way to the window sill and tucks underneath it. It is also that way on my Caribbean and Panama although those two do not have original interiors. The Constellation is all original.

Kevin, I just copied what Packard had. I had the luxury of removing it myself and thus understood what I had to do installing the new stuff. That is one continuous piece from top of windshield to the scuff plate. There should be a tack strip where the rear windlace goes and that tack strip is retained by the "arrows". You can use small brads or good staples to retain that windlace.

Just a couple of pictures. I decided to try the right rear first as opposed to the RF. One tricky thing I learned was that the rubber inside the windlace has a tendency to 'creep' or move, so it's important to use a clamp of something to prohibit it sliding.
I stapled the windlace into some soft wood that I cut down to the same size as the old composite material that was previously used along the jam. I also used a small tac hammer to seat the stables all the way as they were tough to get seated correctly. Hopefully, I'll get better as I do the other parts of the car.

Pretty straightforward. Problems I encountered were keeping the foam rubber in the windlace from creeping downward during the process and getting the staples into the soft wood I used instead of the composite originally in the car. More pics as I move through the car.

Check the resolution and file size. It needs to be .jpg image that is 1280 x 1280 or less, and also with a file size below 1500kb. Otherwise the website will throw it away for being too big.
