WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE??? His brake problem is NOT brake fade or mal-adjusted drum brakes! This is clearly ANOTHER BTV FAILURE! Jeesh Craig, tell us how you REALLY feel!!

Jeesh Craig, tell us how you REALLY feel!! I just did. If you've ever experienced BTV failure while driving, it would put the fear of God into you too. Owen_Dyneto wrote: Quote: The original post says the brake pedal pumped up. I take this to mean it did not go to the floor. If so, the problem is likely not the TV or the master, it sounds like brake fade... I have experienced brake fade too in a Packard and it is NOT the same thing. If you will read the original post, bhappy says that he was able to pull the hand brake and the rear brakes locked up! That does not sound like faded brakes to me! It means the rear drum brakes were in fine working order. Gee, what else could it be??? You guys just keep whistling past the graveyard. Craig

Hey guys,
I am tending to agree with Craig because the brake pedal did go to the floor but it returned to a position where I could press it to the floor again (thus the pumping action). All the while with each pump the car gave no indication of slowing down. I guess I got the fear of God at that moment. I looked on the ABS website and it says that the disc brake kit is a 'wheels only' kit (no MC/booster?). If this is true, is there a dual MC/booster available for me to bolt on to my 56 Executive? Pedal will go at or near floor when shoes are WAY out of adjustment. So it's NOT adjustemnt problem.
E-brake stopped car. So as Craig points out it was NOT brake fade.

There is probably a thread or two on here about the various dual MC fitment options. However, there are NO commercial kits. This is strictly a DIY project. The setup on my website has been on my 55 Pat for 7 years and still works perfectly. Fear of God re BTV is gone for me. Craig
