Hi Barrie and thanks for reply - much appreciated.
Nice to know one of these kits is fitted to your car - so they DO work. Please let me know if it is a Roto-Lokit kit (if you can find the box that is !! - know I can't ever find anything despite everyone saying how tidy I am.) Photo taken last week at my Restorer's Shop - indoors so colours seem a lot brighter than they are in reality. Reference wear and tear : got to remember first owner (Tobacco Famer in Rhodesia) scrapped this car back in 1968 when it was just 20 years old - he obviously thought that he had worn it out, so I think doors not shutting properly 40 or so more years later can be forgiven !! Hi
Still no one has come forward and admitted to using one of these kits - Meanwhile I have used mine and it's in position having replaced the old one - WHOOPEE working fine. Bit scary hacking away at the old one but a very easy job in reality. Best regards to all who have helped - Michael P.S JUST REALISED MY 1948 22ND SERIES NEEDS A LEFT HAND SIDE DOOR HANDLE - IF ANYONE CAN HELP PLEASE POST A REPLY HERE OR SEND ME A P.M
