For me it's when I can go over the car without finding obvious high and low spots. Then onto finer grades of paper to remove the sanding scratches from the previous grades.

I did work on the car for about another 90 mins tonight, and most of the driverside, hood and trunk are done. There is going to be some spot priming needed cover some thin areas. One low spot found that may need a little glazing filler to level it.

More block sanding on the car today. Also removed the hood and the hinges so I can prime the cowl area.

Hood will stay off the car through the paint process.

Got the hood completely sanded leveled, just need to reshoot the edges and spot prime a couple of thin areas. Masked off the bottom.side so I can reprime all the sides and bottom surface edges. Then I will do.the final sanding with some 400 grit and the hood will be done and ready for sealer at the paint shop.

Sprayed some DTM Epoxy High Build on the hood side and bottom edges. I'll let that cure off till tomorrow and then block it down.

More work in the garage tonight. Flipped the hood back over a spot primed a few spots were I burned throught with the rough blocking. This car has way to many edges!

Then started the final blocking with the 400grit on a long board. Its really leveling out very nicely. No high or low spots, and being extra careful around the edges and body lines. No pics tonight as I am still in progress on it.

Thanks Joey!

Worked on the car for about 8 hours yesterday. Blocked most of the car with 400 grit. Found a few areas that need attention and some high areas I need to work down and reprime.

I can tell you after blocking for 8 hours, your arms nearly want to fall off, and you come out of the garage looking like casper.
