If you bend the "J", won't the force of the unloading and loading bend it back?

You certainly have my attention. I'll be watching your progress.

Also, I was just comparing that red "racket jack" to a part on my Kubota tractor. Something like the image below might ease construction with the open ended U shape endings.

Just trying to help.

The mock up location, of the "J" bar, will it allow you to use the tool with the body on the frame?

This particular one I am building up specifically for down and dirty (safely) with body off. I will eventually make a copy of the factory original for body on applications. Howards print will help big time, I had it pegged at 12" with a 30 deg bend where the print shows 9" with a 19 deg. I will use my buddies hydraulic bender at his fab shop to make the factory "J" bar when the time comes. I have the cradle all drawn up but that will be a later project.

Yes, Henry does an awesome job documenting. I wish I documented a little better, but I am so into the work, I don't want to stop.

Well, Failure of the screw jack. The rest of the rig held great back to the T/L.

Well that is aggravating. It must explain the reason for the big J arrangement and the long screw working from opposite side of the car. That would always keep the screw in tension so it couldn't bend.

The T/L arm is 1/2 hole high for centering alignment, and I can not get it down to center to insert the tool.

Even with 800 pounds on the frame and jacking the rear axle, still can not get it to rotate to center still staying about a half hole off.
