All,

Thanks Hank, Craig & Joel for the kind words. I went over this morning and took a few more pictures of the progress. My upholstery man has finished the front and his now working on the rear seats. As seen, this pictures provide the juxtaposition between the old (incorrect once in the past redone upholstery) and the new (correct original material from SMS) that is being installed. As seen also, the old upholstery never fit correctly into the car. My upholstery man stated that the old rear seats were completed and obviously never correctly fitted for the contours of the car. As seen, the rear tire wheel-well housings are visible. The hard part now per my upholstery guy is to get that arm rest done correctly. Once the rear seat is done, he will fiddle with the package shelf. (I miss having my car at the house!)

Kevin,

That upholstery is to die for. Unbelievably good.

Just a comment.
Are the rear armrests complete? I believe the top of the armrest should be blue as it is, but there should be a white material extending to approximately the top of the seat cushion, than a stainless strip and below, the blue again. Other than that it is a great job. Hope I'm not being too critical because it really looks like nice work.

Here are a couple more of pictures from other 5587's which show the arm rests. Not sure at the moment what you are trying to convey?

I think it is old age creeping in. The interior you have is correct. I just looked at pictures of one of the 400s I had and it is in fact, the same pattern as yours. I think I got on my high horse thinking of my clipper which is different and my Caribbean which has an entirely different set up. My apologies
