Waiting to get the Packard out for the spring, but the weather here has been like a yo-yo. 2 days of spring, followed by 5 days of winter. It was 70 here on Thursday, and then we had rain and snow since then. Finally cleared out today and hoping for 60f this weekend.
If it warms up enough id like to get spring maintenance done (fluid changes, etc) and hopefully get the old gal on the road for a bit. Also need to finish that darn transmission.

Went to a charity car show in Glberts, IL. The first outing of the Packard in a few months, and a 60F day here.

Now that the weather has warmed up enough to make the garage habitable again, time to get back on and finish that transmission.
Does anyone know the torque specs on the bolts that hold the main pieces of the control bodies to one another? The service manual is a bit vague on this. I think it is 5ft/lbs but want to verify.

5..and 9.
Think its done in inch pounds..but if one doesn't have an inch pound torque wrench.. Foot pounds.. Ross can verify..but think 7/16ths bolts get the 5..and 1/2 inch get 9..

Took the Packard to the Startford Mall car show which is sponsored monthly by the Chicago Daily Herald. This had several hundred cars in attendance as we finally had a break from the oppressive heat and humidity.
Here is a video clip showing the size of the show. You can see my blue clipper to his immediate right, the lightpole closest to him run right over my car. It the blue car just above the orange/red Javelin. m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1780730015375991&id=555085117940493
