This was supposed to be a NOS. Switch .
But there is other solder joints. Well not sure how long my solder joint will last. So better get my rear in gear and convert to micro switches ...

Put this on car seems lot better. Starting. idle .
Had to use a 1 inch piece if gas line to make up gap . but going to look for wider filter.. 3 inch might be to tall. The oil bath element . have to see about plasma cutting it take out that stuff and see about paper filter. Them modify element to paper filter ..

Rik, try securing the Edelbrock filter element to the lower part of the Packard oil bath housing with the top plate from the air cleaner assembly. You will probably need a fully threaded stud to have the nut run down far enough. Then, you can place the top part of the Packard filter housing and secure it to the stud in the normal fashion. I think this will work and will eliminate the need to modify the inner filter piece. Someone may want to reconvert the filter to an oil bath type in the future. What do you think?

Thanks jw.
That was my other. Option. Didn't want to look up thread. It was a pain. Lifting top off. Didn't want to mess up Packard thread length. With the paper I don't smell gas . I have one element I just can't clean. Keep getting stuff. Leaves etc.

A.c..
Took top off. The Packard top goes over it. Yes 1/4-20. Picked up rod from Gerry. Threaded it down farther . about 2 inches. So will have wing nut supplied filter on first. Then another nut with a fender washer. Top will rest against it to give top wing nut something to tighten to. I'm still having idle problems. Carb is off. If it's not the carb. Then my delta CD. Might of gave up...
