Pretty scary, dark garage and all. Ever see "The Car"? Reminds me of the scene where she awakens in the Sheriff's garage. Party on, Garth!

Good luck with the brakes. I think it's a good idea for all but very competent enthusiasts to take the stuff that makes it stop and steer into a professional. I'll mess around all day with whatever makes it go, but those two items are too critical. True, I might go off a curve someday and be cursing the last mechanic that looked at it, but better that than my passengers cursing me for all eternity!

just got home and thought i would adjust my drivers side headlight because its pointing downward, well i knew there had been some work up there because its so obvious Ray Charles could see it,even now - but the weld had broken off on the top screw tab and then under the top of the fender where the headlight "door" screws in at the top there is nothing but rust there, and some cheesy shiny tape somebody put there probably 20 years ago -- this is the only area that i knew there was a bit of a problem and there will have to be some major body work done there when it gets to that point ----
this things beginning to look more and more like its gonna be a numbers matching rat rod LOL --- a buddy of mine stopped by today to give me a sticker for it that everybody will recognize, looks crazy on a Packard ---

Heres the crazy "repair" work that was done sometime long ago --- i rigged up the light to still be adjustable but there is rust and will have to be redone, i'm guessing its the same rust area as the tri-fives

Luv that Clay Smith "Mr Horsepower" emblem! One of the best ever created in the early years for sure.

Nothing wrong with a rat rod'd Packard Clipper either.

What ya got there is a serious case of "eyebrow cancer" (on the car, not the decal--but maybe there, too)

Joe,
Are you by chance going to Spring, TX this weekend, 9/26&27/09 to their show? Won't be in Packard, it went last year, be hanging around a white 37 Studebaker. Should be the only one there. Look me up if you go.

Bill
